Ever have those days when you are looking for software to do something but all you can find is the paid solution well for every software which you need to pay for there is always a free alternative. These free programs have a huge community base which helps support these applications.
There are many tools out there , here are a few that i have used and found them to be very handy
1. Virtual Box – This is a great software for creating virtaul pc’s / servers. It runs on most operating systems (Windows , Apple and 99% of all linux distros)
2. Notepad ++ – This is a notepad replacement that has many add-ins that can be added in to enhance the functionality.
3. Gimp – Ever wanted photoshop functionality but didn’t want pay hundreds of dollars then gimp is for you, it has a huge community which supports this great software with new plugins and tutorials
4. Mozilla FireFox – Alternative to IE
5. Google Chrome – Another alternative browser which is gain ground in the number of users it has. I can recommend the google chrome browser it seems to work great and isn’t very heavy on the system
